RR handlebar

entering the race

Professional cycling components must meet global racing requirements, yet updating performance-critical hardware often introduces tradeoffs. The existing handlebar design faced challenges in meeting evolving UCI requirements and required a complex internal routing that increased installation time and user frustration. The challenge was to redesign the handlebar within fixed ergonomic expectations and patent definitions so that it can be easily installed and officially enter the race.

The Result

The final design met all UCI racing requirements while expanding the range of handle bar offerings to include a 36 cm bar width. The solution accommodated a broader spectrum of riders, delivering improved fit and ergonomics alongside a streamlined, user-friendly setup.

Improving the Install Experience

Before a rider can enjoy their new handlebars they have to deal with the often unpleasant install experience. Resolving this pain point was a crucial part of the redesigning this handlebar.
